Your Corporate Video Is Our Company’s Business.

Corporate video and online web presence is becoming more popular,
especially amongst Blue Chip, Fortune 500 and FTSE companies as
well as more smaller business and start ups, vying for online attention
and to convert viewers into customers and clients.

Social media and other Web 2.0 online trends have caused companies to
seriously reconsider how they communicate with external audiences.

Those who are social media literate and savvy with the knowledge are
finding ways to implement and incorporate video to highlight, showcase,
emphasise or report on day-to-day operations.

Others use it to provide a corporate overview to include company history,
focus on key products or specialisms, introduce executives/owners, show
departments or operations and provide a summary of objectives,
corporate philosophy and company ethos.

However video is used in a corporate context, the main aim is to concisely,
convey who your are, what you offer and to instill confidence in selecting your
business as the best and most credible option.

At HD Productions we work advising businesses regarding the benefits
and highlighting the key factors of using compelling video production
for immediate, persuasive, thought provoking engagement for your
business and getting the web visitor to want to find out more, enquire
with a call to action and follow up.

Video is fast becoming a lead generator and a significant tool in online
search, with companies that have video, are being found more
favourable and persuasive in getting attention and being listed in
Google.

Sony Xdcam Ex Workflow made easier with Cinemon-OMV1

Final Cut Pro

Sony engineers have created a software plug-in called Cinemon-OMV1 to speed up and simplify workflow requirements for Final Cut Pro users, Omneon servers and Sony XDCAM camcorders.

Giving the benefits of a native MXF workflow environment and provides post production efficiencies in both time and cost.

Final Cut Pro users have some what been miffed by the Xdcam Ex workflow that is quicker in both Adobe Premiere and Grass Valley Edius users.

They don’t need to bother with transcoding, unwrapping or the need for another application to load up first then transfer in, whilst there is a native FCP log and transfer plug-in not dependent on the Sony Xdcam transfer software.

You still have to wait for the transcode to sort itself out and if you have copied native BPAV folders, then you create material that takes up more disk space, as you have to create a copy unlike with tape or XDcam HD you can leave your material with the original source media and copy once across and not need double up on disk space.

JVC with their Xdcam format cameras both the GY-HM100 and GY-HM700 got it right the first time by recording into Xdcam codec quicktime files, that can the easily be edited straight into the timeline. No transcoding or messing round with a cumbersome workflow.

Google TV is GO GO Go

“Google TV,” is here. The partnership with Sony, Intel and Logitech demonstrated in the US for the first time fuses the freedom of the Internet with television programming. Intel’s CEO Paul Otellini predicts it will be “the biggest improvement to television since colour” unveiling their much-anticipated plan for the “smart” TV.

Google TV is built on open platforms like Android and Google Chrome, that will allowing access to your favorite websites and move easily between television and the web. This opens up your TV from a few hundred channels to millions of channels of entertainment across TV and the web.

Whether Google TV can shape and influence how they have developed search and business models and can achieve an impact in the Video/TV space as Apple has done with their Iphone, Itunes and Ipod products changing and creating an ecology within music/media consumption distribution and connected product integration.

Google Tv in Europe sorry folks it’s just a US thing for now.

Very interesting times we all live in indeed.
